ABOUT THE ARTIST
Asanté is a rising artist who burst onto the streaming scene in 2018. Having had a natural affinity for music since he was just three years old, the Connecticut native honed his craft over the years to become the artist that he is today. Although he receives inspiration from a number of artists such as Stevie Wonder, Lauryn Hill, The Jackson 5 and Brent Faiyaz, Asanté combines a variety of compositional elements to form his unique sound that has been described as a blend of “Neo-Soul and R&B”. Asanté has thoroughly established himself on the music scene having collaborated with a number of well-known artists such as Aubrey Omani, Brandon Arreage and Roy Purdy.
To date, Asanté has fourteen singles/EPs in his Spotify discography. One of his most popular tracks ‘Excuse Me’, has amassed almost five hundred and eighty thousand streams on Spotify alone. With a growing number of followers and listeners, there is no denying the fact that Asanté is developing a dedicated following of loyal fans.

The EP consists of five tracks and lasts over twelve minutes. Drawing from his own life experience, Asanté’s lyricism will guide the listener “on a journey of relatable moments and perspectives from Asanté’s musical lens”. Production credits for the EP include the likes of Brandon Arreage.
