.

Dead Celebrities and New Beginnings | The Song That You Sing | Up On the 13th Floor | Ever Said | Riding High Again | Arcade Days | Beneath the Moon and the Stars (Extended Mix) | Head On (The Jesus - Mary Chain)

The opening track from the album, ‘Dead Celebrities and New Beginnings’ lasts around three and a half minutes and sits at 120bpm. The track commences with a fifteen second intro that builds a sense of anticipation for the verse and sets the tone. The clean vocal color seamlessly synchronizes with the uplifting vibe of the instrumentation. The subtle layering of multiple vocal elements adds a depth to the vocal line without detracting from the lyrical prominence.

The melodic ukulele combines with the steady percussion, foundational bass and stylistic electric ukulele to provide the perfect platform for the vocal. An electric ukulele solo from around 1:23 to 1:41 delivers just the right amount of dynamic diversity to ensure that this single is engaging from start to finish. By the time ‘Dead Celebrities and New Beginnings’ draws to a close, you’ll find yourself caught up in the hypnotic vibe and in need of hitting that repeat button for another listen.

If the opening track is anything to go by, the well balanced production, creative instrumentation, and the authentic vocal performance will definitely permeate throughout ‘Catacomb Songs’ and please fans of Winchester 7 & the Runners, as well as those who appreciate new music.
