TLSMUZEK is a drummer and producer based in Philadelphia, known for pairing rhythmic precision with a growing catalogue of smooth, melody-driven instrumentals. Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, he started playing drums in church at age 13, where the energy of live collaboration laid the foundation for his approach to music-making. Years later, drawn to harmony and structure, he taught himself piano and began building tracks that combined live instrumentation with programmed beats.
Working primarily in Cubase, TLSMUZEK has developed a sound rooted in Smooth Jazz but open to a wide range of influences. His recent singles “Kong” and “Fresh Air” reflect that sensibility as clean, unhurried compositions that prioritise mood without losing musicality. “Fresh Air,” in particular, came out of the early pandemic period, a time when writing became both a creative outlet and a way to reset.
Today, TLSMUZEK continues to collaborate with local musicians in Philadelphia, creating work that favours clarity over clutter and feeling over flash. His goal is simple, to make music that people can live with, something steady, soulful, and built to last.
