ABOUT THE ARTIST
The Sheyana Band, an up-and-coming ensemble, first electrified the digital music world in 2018. Led by the dynamic London-born, Tasmanian-raised singer-songwriter, Sheyana, the band brings together an accomplished group of musicians – Wayne Rand on lead guitars/vocals, Dan Jeffrey on bass, and Leigh Hill on drums/vocals.
Drawing from a diverse palette of musical influences, including Australian Rhythm and Soul, American Funk and Blues, English Pop/Rock and Punk, and Southern Country/Folk, The Sheyana Band synthesizes an array of compositional elements into their signature sound.
Their acclaim extends beyond the studio, having shared stages with the likes of Deborah Conway, Hoodoo Gurus, Neil Finn, Meg Mac, Mojo Juju, and Gang of Youths. Their 2018 album Big Love even clinched "The Chris Wilson Award" for "Emerging Act of the Year", further cementing their burgeoning reputation.
