ABOUT THE ARTIST
Alan Gogoll is a rising artist who burst onto the streaming scene in 2011. Having always had a natural affinity for music, the Tasmania-born songwriter honed his craft over the years to become the artist that he is today. Recognized as “one of the world’s finest acoustic guitarists”, Alan has developed considerable notoriety for inventing the Bell Harmonics technique and signature guitar tuning; he has since been endorsed by Åstrand Guitars along with John Pearse Strings and G7th Capos.
Some of Alan Gogoll’s achievements include: 2021 Acoustic Guitarist of the Year - Guitar World Magazine, 2021 Acoustic Guitarist of the Year - GuitarPlayer Magazine, 2020 Magic Guitars International Guitar Competition - 1st Place, and 2019 Furch Guitar International Guitar Competition - 1st Place. Although he receives inspiration from a number of genres, Alan Gogoll combines a variety of compositional elements to form his unique and authentic sound.
To date, Alan Gogoll has twenty-seven albums and thirty-nine singles/EPs in his online discography. One of his most popular releases, ‘Chime’, has amassed almost six million seven hundred thousand streams on Spotify alone. The album consists of eleven tracks and lasts around twenty-seven minutes. Each track was recorded within the span of a single week in Tasmania at Alan’s makeshift studio using an Åstrand Å-OM guitar. In addition to the audio, accompanying YouTube videos were recorded live during the recording process.
“This album kind of came out of the blue, I wasn’t planning on writing any more music for the foreseeable future to spend time practicing and relearning my old songs, but with a little elbow grease and focus I was able to get these ideas into the pieces you hear now!”
