ABOUT THE ARTIST
Yuki Miyata is a concert Harpist who’s latest rendition of ‘Legende by Henriette Renie’, is available on Vimeo now. Upon graduating from CNSM de Lyon with a DNSPM (Diplôme National Supérieur Professionnel de Musician) and from Tokyo University of the Arts, Yuki Miyata went on participate as an extra member in Concerts with the Lyon National Orchestra from 2013 to 2015.
After which, Yuki landed a position as an extra for concerts with the NHK Symphony Orchestra and the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra. She has won World Awards for her musical talent from countries that include Austria, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Denmark and Japan.
“The harp is a strange instrument, and perhaps because it is in direct contact with the strings, the tone of the harp reflects the state of my mind. It creates life and loves all the different colors in the palette of life. ”
Yuki Miyata’s main goal with her music is to “give back the happiness of charity” to those who listen. Having dedicated a part of her sales to the UNHCR (the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees), Yuki hopes to help those in need during this difficult global crisis.
“In this time of corona virus, in the midst of an emergency, I have been indebted to people who work in the medical field and lifeline, and I have seen how they are doing. I wondered if I could do something, even if only a little, to help them through my profession of music and harp, which led me to my current activities.”
