ABOUT THE ARTIST
Velema is an up and coming artist who burst onto the streaming scene in 2020. The Perth (Western Australia) based rapper has always had a natural affinity for composition and lyricism; writing songs since he was just fourteen years old back in 1996. Although he receives creative inspiration from a number of styles, Velema combines a variety of compositional elements to form his unique sound.
Velema initially began releasing music on SoundCloud and went on to feature in the track ‘Game Over’. In 2015 Velema released Game Time; a video which starred local football players Brad Dick and Nic Naitanui which was played on the show prior to the finals game.
To date, Velema has one single in his Spotify discography: ‘Shut Up And Take My Money’, amassing almost ten thousand streams. With more than seven thousand four hundred regular monthly listeners on Spotify alone, there is no denying the fact that Velema is developing a dedicated following of loyal fans.
