ABOUT THE ARTIST
The Marica Frequency is an up and coming Welsh indie folk band who burst onto the streaming scene in 2017 with their album: ‘Nursery Rhymes’. The band was founded back in 2015 by singer-songwriter Christopher Evans. The Marica Frequency’s official lineup has changed a number of times since its formation, however the permanent members, Christopher Evans and Marisa Frantz, are the main songwriters. Although The Marica Frequency receives creative inspiration from a number of artists, it amalgamates a variety of stylistic elements to from its unique sound. All of the band’s music is recorded at the Ratboy & Maggot Studios, Wales.
To date, The Marica Frequency has five albums in its online discography. Some of its most popular tracks include the likes of ‘Open Arms’, amassing almost twenty-three thousand three hundred streams, ‘Written By Rabbits’, gathering over eighteen thousand streams, and ‘Borrowed Time’, with over fifteen thousand four hundred streams. With almost one thousand regular monthly listeners on Spotify alone, there is no denying the fact that The Marica Frequency has developed a dedicated following of loyal fans.
