ABOUT THE ARTIST
The Catalina are a three piece band comprised of James Howard on vocals and guitar, Adam Hepner on drums and Justin Jacobs on guitar. Influenced by the likes of The Police, The Night Game and The Band CAMINO, The Catalina’s debut EP ‘Love Somebody’, is set to be released in the summer of this year.
The band’s songwriting process involves the amalgamated, collective effort from the band members channeling “their experiences into songs that capture young emotion in the most authentic ways possible” with topics that include love, loss and longing.

Our featured single sits at a smooth 112bpm and begins with a seventeen second percussive introduction. A rhythmic guitar riff, coupled with a steady bass, synchronise with James’ clean and emotive vocal color. Additional keys and synth layers are added to create a pop sound that continues to progress as the track builds.
The bridge kicks in at around the 2:38 mark and shifts the melodic flow of the track with a crescendo of ambient layers leading to an epic solo at 2:55.
