ABOUT THE ARTIST

Taurie is a rising artist who burst onto the streaming scene in 2019. Initially, Taurie started off pursuing a career in Neuroscience, but after some soul-searching, she decided that it wasn’t the path for her, “Why pursue a career if you have no intention of being the best at it?”. Having always had a natural affinity for music and songwriting, Taurie went on to teach herself five instruments and gradually honed her craft as a songwriter.

Although she receives creative inspiration from a number of genres such as R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop, Easy Listening, Soft Rock and Ni-Pop (Nigerian Pop), Taurie combines a variety of compositional elements to form her unique sound. Taurie has already won a number of awards including the ‘Homegrown Movies’ award at The Garden State Film Festival (GSFF) in 2021 for her ‘Mistletoe’ video.

To date, Taurie has two albums and three singles in her online discography. Some of her most popular tracks include the likes of ‘Aesthetics’, amassing almost sixty thousand streams, and ‘Heart Sings’, with over four thousand six hundred streams. With a growing number of followers and listeners, there is no denying the fact that Taurie is developing a dedicated following of loyal fans.
