ABOUT THE ARTIST
Talitha Jae is rising artist who burst onto the streaming scene this year. Having always had a natural affinity for music, Talitha Jae honed her craft over the years to become the artist that she is today. Although she receives creative inspiration from a number of styles such as Jazz, Folk, Country, Indie, Pop, and Blues, Talitha Jae combines a variety of compositional elements to form her unique sound.
Talitha Jae has already received a number of accolades for her music; she was a Top 10 national finalist in Listen Up Music Songwriting Festival (2018) and a semi-finalist in 2020, she received third place in the Folk/Acoustic category at the Australian Songwriters Association Awards, and Talitha came in second place at the Tablelands Folk Festival Songwriting Competition.
The up and coming songwriter has supported artists such as Clare Bowditch and The Wolfe Brothers in addition to performing for Music View TV (formerly Balcony TV). To date, Talitha Jae has two tracks in her online discography: ‘Chasing My Tail’ and ‘I’m Right Here’. With a growing number of followers and listeners, there is no denying the fact that Talitha Jae is developing a dedicated following of loyal fans.

Our featured single, ‘Butterflies & Anxiety’ by Talitha Jae, is out June 25th and will be available to stream on all major streaming platforms! ‘Butterflies & Anxiety’ lasts around four and a half minutes and is the second single from Talitha Jae’s upcoming debut EP ‘Spilt T’ which was financially supported by a Regional Arts Development Fund Grant.
The track commences with a seven second intro that sets the tone for the main vocal line. Talitha Jae’s vocal color is clean and emotive; seamlessly synchronizing with the smooth vibe of the instrumental accompaniment. The steady beat, melodic acoustic guitar progression, foundational bass and clean electric guitar combine to provide the perfect platform for the vocal.
The subtle use of a harmonized backing vocal, check out 2:06 to 2:09, adds a creative flare and depth to the overall sound without detracting from the lyrical prominence. The percussion drops out from 2:58 to 3:20; delivering just the right amount of dynamic diversity to ensure that this single is engaging from start to finish.
