The single ‘I Love It’ by Taj x Shinobi is OUT NOW and available to stream on all major streaming platforms. 

ABOUT THE ARTIST 

Up and coming Hip-hop/Rap artist Taj is relatively new to the scene but has already began to amass quite the following. First utilising SoundCloud as his main source for original music distribution, Taj has uploaded twelve tracks over the past year alone. To date, he has accumulated over twelve-thousand plays on SoundCloud and a growing following on Instagram of almost three-thousand. 

His first music video, released in March of 2018, was a collaboration with Special K and Lil Trea of I.M.O.B with the track ‘Where Were You At’. Directed by Ghetto Geeks and produced by Taj, the video achieved over five and a half thousand views with no prior uploads. Since then, Taj has continued to develop his YouTube following with his channel achieving over eighteen-thousand views to date. 

Taj’s previous releases on SoundCloud include a diverse plethora of collaborations and featured artists including Nick James, Eyeball Relly, Shinobi, Lil Tre and Chris Streetz.

Since his last upload nine months ago, Taj has released two official singles that are available on iTunes and Spotify: ‘Big Steppa’ (released in February of 2020) and ‘I Love It’ (released in April of 2020).

FEATURED RELEASE

The latest single release from Taj and Shinobi is titled ‘I Love It’ and is set for release on the 24th of this month. The track has a relatively upbeat tempo sitting in at around 140bpm. Regarding the instrumentation, a distorted sub-bass acts as the driving foundational component.

Taj takes the first half of the main vocal riff at the beginning of the single which is repeated throughout, acting as a chorus of sorts that has a melodic flow that circulates in your mind once the track has finished. 

A stylistic shift at around 0:33 instigates a solo-rap that although unpredictable with its timing, acts as the perfect separating section to give the track diversity within its various melodic components.

At around the 1:30 mark the single breaks down into a heavy sub-bass section that acts as a form of outro to the main rap, yet it maintains its own featured status as a key aspect to the single’s flow.
