ABOUT THE ARTIST
Steve Williams is a well established music producer whose debut album: ‘Big Dreams Small City’ dropped in 2019. Steve is originally from Cleveland and is currently living and working in South Korea. Although he has produced multiple records, Steve Williams has only been producing music for the last three years and is continuing to hone his craft. Always trying to push his creative boundaries, Steve spent the “first half of 2020 in search of a new sound”.
After feeling that his selection of Hip-Hop tracks were the right choice, he produced his most recent EP. Even though Steve Williams receives creative inspiration from a number of styles, he amalgamates a variety of compositional elements to form his unique sound. With almost four hundred followers on Instagram alone, there is no denying the fact that Steve Williams is developing a dedicated following of loyal fans.

Our featured EP, ‘Somewhere from Isolation’ by Steve Williams, is out now and available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The EP consists of four tracks and lasts around twelve minutes.
The opening track on the EP, ‘From Isolation’, lasts two minutes and twenty-four seconds and sits at a steady 110bpm. The track commences with a forty second instrumental introduction that features subtle percussion and an ambient synth progression that sets the tone for the instigation of the proceeding verse. Steve Williams’ vocal color is clean and emotive; seamlessly synchronising with the smooth flow of the instrumental accompaniment. A transition from the impressive rap to a sung section from the 1:46 mark provides the perfect amount of dynamic diversification to ensure that this track is engaging from start to finish.
Although the EP is grouped under the genre classification of Hip-Hop/Rap; each track delivers a diverse range of compositional elements that showcase Steve Williams’ talent; from the stylistic wind instrumentation, creatively effected vocal color and steady beat of ‘Views from Yecheon’, the smooth etherial and atmospheric vibe of ‘Post Views’, to the foundational piano, ambient backing vocals and impressive lyricism of ‘T.n.T’.
