ABOUT THE ARTIST
Shadowplay Theatre are an up and coming band that consist of three members: James, Sarah, and Peter. Coming from the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Sweden, the diverse trio amalgamate their individual styles to form their unique and original sound. Although they take creative inspiration from genres that include the likes of Electro, Trip-Hop, and Psychedelic, Shadowplay Theatre aren’t limited by genre classification; combining a variety of compositional elements from multiple styles.

Our featured single, ‘Million Dollar Baby’ by Shadowplay Theatre, is out on the 12th of November and will be available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The single lasts four minutes and twenty-four seconds and sits at around 125bpm. The track commences with a one minute and thirty-one second instrumental introduction that features an atmospheric piano, stylistic synth, and subtle percussion; setting the tone for the proceeding vocal line.
The vocal color is clean and emotive; seamlessly synchronising with the dark melodic flow of the instrumental accompaniment. The addition of Sarah’s harmonised vocal line adds just the right amount of dynamic diversity to provide a depth to the main vocal hook. The rhythmic beat that combines with the creatively panned synth layers and ambient reverb form a trance like sound that will captivate the listener and make the four and a half minute song seem like no time at all; ensuring an obligatory second listen.
