ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ruwan G is an up and coming artist who first burst onto the music scene in 2019 with his debut single ‘Tell Me’. Born and raised in Myrtle Beach, SC, Ruwan G has cultivated a passion for music since the age of seven when he began playing guitar.
“My passion for music developed into a way to express myself fully without any judgment or insecurities.”
Throughout his high school years, Ruwan G played first chair Violin and Piano; aiding in his acquisition of music theory whilst gaining invaluable performing experience. Upon graduation, Ruwan G transitioned his musical ability into his own unique compositional style that combines various elements from RnB and Low-Fi. His debut album, ‘From The Heart’, tells the story of his time at Myrtle Beach.
To date, Ruwan G has six Single/EPs and one album in his online discography. Some of his most successful tracks includes the likes of ‘Be Whole’, gathering over sixty-one thousand streams, ‘Best Side’ with fifty-two thousand streams, and ‘Run Away’, amassing over thirty-five thousand streams on Spotify alone. With over eight thousand regular monthly listeners, there’s no denying the fact that Ruwan G has thoroughly established himself as an up and coming artist to keep an eye on over the course of 2020.
