Reverse Mechanic’s latest single ‘Head In The Clouds’ will be released on 04.10.20. This comes after his most recent single ‘Worrier’ released in 2019 which followed the 2017 album ‘The Mixed Ape’.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Reverse Mechanic is an independent hip hop artist coming out of Minneapolis, MN. With a bachelors degree in creative writing, the former published poet has been investing his creative energy into lyrical creation since 2012.
Achieving several Artists and Repertoire Awards from Beat100, Reverse Mechanic aims to continue pushing his creative songwriting by not limiting himself to one particular stylistic choice or genre, but rather allowing the inspiration of each piece to lead him to continue to push his boundaries.
LATEST RELEASE
His upcoming EP release ‘Best Proposal Ever’ is set to be available from 04.10.20. Originally, Reverse Mechanic’s new release was set for the fall of 2019 before his personal trajectory changed significantly.
He decided that he would put all of his time and creative energy into producing an eight track album and an “elaborate plan” to propose to the love of his life.
The release incorporates the story of Reverse Mechanic’s proposal journey and we are sure that the music video for the proposal will be epic.
We had an exclusive listen to his single ‘Head In The Clouds’ from the new EP. The track begins with a steady percussive rhythm that sets the tone for the rest of the song. The main instrumentation incorporates a stabbing clean electric that adds to the rhythmic flow of this mid-tempo track.
The vocal section of the single incorporates numerous layers of clean vocal color that utilise higher harmony panned at just the right level. Two rap sections break up each chorus and address the strong emotions that Reverse Mechanic feels towards his other half who is at the epicentre of this uplifting and catchy single.
With the diversity that can be seen from Reverse Mechanic’s most recent teaser trailer on YouTube (featured above), we are sure that this single is just a taste of things to come for this up and coming hip hop artist.
