ABOUT THE ARTIST
R Zak is an up and coming artist who burst onto the streaming scene eight years ago. Having always had a natural affinity for music, R Zak began playing instruments at the age of five, started writing music by twelve, and went on to achieve two masters degrees in music.
R Zak has a plethora of performance experience having played viola in indie bands such as The Apple Miner Colony and Summit Dub Squad. Although she receives creative inspiration from a number of artists such as Bjork, Erykah Badu, and Neil Young, R Zak combines a variety of compositional elements to form her unique sound.
To date, R Zak has twenty-nine tracks in her online discography. Some of her most popular tracks include the likes of ‘The Tracks’, amassing almost thirty-two thousand plays, ‘No coward soul’, gathering over twenty-two thousand two hundred plays, and ‘Symbolic’, with over twenty-three thousand nine hundred plays. With more than one thousand three hundred followers on SoundCloud alone, there is no denying the fact that R Zak is developing a dedicated following of loyal fans.

‘Gacela of Floating Love’, ‘I Have a Sky’, ‘Coffee Drip (Instrumental)’, ‘Dripping Ice (Instrumental), and ‘Mad Magdalene’.
The title track, ‘Gacela of Floating Love’, lasts three minutes and forty two seconds and sits at a steady 84bpm. The track commences with a twenty-eight second instrumental introduction that sets the melodic tone for the proceeding verse. The main beat kicks in at the 0:28 mark and lifts the rhythmic intensity of the single. R Zak’s vocal color is clean and effortless; seamlessly synchronising with the smooth flow of the instrumental accompaniment.
