ABOUT THE ARTIST

QTdaButcha is a Hip-Hop/Rap artist who is originally from New York but later moved to Atlanta in his youth. Going to high school with the likes of 2Chainz, Escape, Jermaine Dupri, QTdaButcha was surrounded by Hip-Hop talent. After a botched deal resulted in QTdaButcha becoming a solo artist, he developed a home studio with the help of Sanchez Holmes. Sadly, after dealing with heart complications, Sanchez passed away a few months later. Refusing to let negative emotion get in the way of original music production, QTdaButcha founded his own record label. With the help of his company, Butchamuzik, and a combination of TracSquad, TrackzonDemand, Crooklynbeatzz, and Red/3Stoves, QTdaButcha has produced his most anticipated project to date: ‘Butcha Season Vol.II, C.O.D.’.

QTdaButcha has three albums and twenty-eight single/EP releases available to stream on his online discography. Although the album has yet to drop, three singles are already available to stream now: ‘Stax to the Wall’, ‘Covid-19 (The Vaccine) [feat. Khujo Goodie]’, and ‘Crazy’.

‘Stax to the Wall’ lasts four minutes and eighteen seconds, sits at 160bpm, and commences with a fifteen second introduction that perfectly sets the tone for the proceeding verse. QTdaButcha’s vocal color is smooth and emotive; seamlessly synchronising with the melodic flow of the instrumental accompaniment. The combination of powerful strings, atmospheric samples and impressive lyricism make this track all the more memorable.

‘Covid-19 (The Vaccine) [feat. Khujo Goodie]’ lasts three minutes and five seconds and sits at 94bpm. The track begins with a nine second instrumental introduction that features a foundational piano progression; providing the perfect platform for the vocal line. The amalgamation of a sung melody and a powerful rap form a sound that reflects QTdaButcha’s creative compositional talent.
