Brian Charles Tischleder is a singer-songwriter coming out of his hometown Minneapolis. With a plethora of songwriting experience spanning over the past twenty-five years, he has toured in the Midwestern United States whilst also developing an international fan base. Previous venues of note include First Avenue, Fine Line, Music Cafe and O’Garas.

Brian has an impressive discography of solo-albums including ‘Bordertown’, ‘Dreams and Fears’, ‘Last Train to Hollywood’ and his most recent creative contribution ‘Momma Told Me So’, set to be released on digital platforms very soon. 

Brian Charles Tischleder was also lead singer and half of the successful Minneapolis-based folk-rock duo ‘James Curry’ who achieved success not only in their home town of Minneapolis but also across Europe. Two albums of note that are worth checking out from the duo are ‘A Brand new Suit’ and ‘James Curry 13’. 

The upcoming album from Brian, ’Momma Told Me So’, is a ten track album which is currently available directly from the official briancharlestischleder.com website’s digital music store and is set to be released on digital platforms shortly.

Keeping in connection with the current and controversial political landscape in the US, Brian Charles Tischleder uses his compositional talent to address and denounce selfish egoism, the individualistic expression of hatred and the decay of humanity in relation to political ideology. It is refreshing to have an artist use the medium of music to address subject matter that is both meaningful as well as irrefutably relevant to the current culture. 

This album has a wonderfully diverse range of stylistic choices from traditional folk to rock’n roll with the implementation of Chicago blues amalgamating each style to create a unique and modern sound that will engage the listener from start to finish. With a vocal colour reminiscent of Springsteen, Dylan and Waits, Brian’s voice is most certainly the stand out melodic ingredient in this album.

Tracks of note include ‘Momma Told Me So’, utilising captivating Chicago style horns with a soulful vocal performance and also ‘Memphis’, a piano and string led ballad about Martin Luther King Jr. which incorporates gospel choir vocals that are certain to give you chills.

Featured artists include J.T Bates, Walter Chancellor Jr. and Tonia Hughes amongst others. Fans of folk, rock’n roll and Chicago blues will be captivated by this album from ‘Momma Told Me So’ to ‘Lost Highway’.
