ABOUT THE ARTIST
Machete Sound is an up and coming artist who first burst onto the music scene at the beginning of 2019. Since then, he has developed an impressive discography with three Single/EP releases, (‘Drive’, ‘F.O.O.W’, ‘Natty Watching You’) and one Album entitled: ‘Scorpiorising’.
One of his most successful tracks to date is his single ‘Byaw’ from the Scorpiorising album, amassing almost ten thousand streams since its release earlier this year. With over one thousand two hundred regular monthly listeners, it’s fair to say that Machete Sound is building a dedicated following of loyal fans as he continues to release original music.

Our featured EP, ‘Natty Watching You’ by Machete Sound, is out now and available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The EP lasts around sixteen minutes and consists of six unique tracks: ‘What is Music’, ‘Different’, ‘Last’, ‘Natty Watching You’, ‘Wonderland’, and ‘Self Sufficient’. Featured artists include the likes of James Rossy, Staxx, Emac Dilla and King Kong.
The title track, ‘Natty Watching You (feat. King Kong)’, lasts three minutes and nine seconds and sits at a smooth 120bpm. The single commences with a sixteen second instrumental introduction that combines an atmospheric guitar progression with a steady percussive beat, foundational bass and subtle vocalisations; setting the melodic tone for the proceeding verse.
The vocal color is clean and emotive; seamlessly synchronising with the flow of the instrumental accompaniment. The vocal tone shifts at 0:44 to a stronger resonance that pushes the intensity of the track. The powerful rap break from 1:48 to 2:12 provides just the right amount of dynamic diversity to ensure that the single is engaging from start to finish. A stylistic saxophone element is filtered into the mix to transition into the outro. With layered vocal harmony lines providing a depth to the memorable melodic hook, this track is definitely one that you’ll want to repeat.
