ABOUT THE ARTIST
Lane, otherwise known as Noah Hernandez, is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Currently living in Texas, the emerging artist studied classical cello for over ten years before turning his creative and compositional talents towards his own music. With a background in music theory, Lane was able to amalgamate his multi-genre experience to form an alternative sound that is creative and unique.
The artwork and promotional photos for ‘Whispers’ were taken by the San Antonio based photographer @magsblackmon and the producer who worked on the track was Rolando Ordóñez III.

The new single, ‘Whispers’ by Lane, is out now and available to stream on Spotify! This two minute and forty-three second single sits at a steady 115bpm. Commencing with a fourteen second introduction, multiple effected vocal layers are panned to create an ambient flow that increases the listener’s anticipation before the main vocal line kicks in at the 0:14 mark.
Lane’s vocal color is clean and effortless, sitting prominently in the mix whilst also allowing for the various instrumental elements to be heard with ease. A foundational bass line can be heard from the first verse, maintaining its pace throughout the track. After the first verse, a delayed and undistorted electric guitar riff is added as an instrumental break; filling out the space left from the vocal absence.
A steady percussive kick is added at the 0:45 mark, preparing the listener for a crescendo that peaks at 1:17 as the chorus commences. A distorted electric guitar riff instigates during the build and carries on throughout the chorus with elongated notes adding an anthem-like quality to the single. A ten second outro, that consists of various whispered statements, adds a creative flare to the track as the amalgamated sounds reverberate mysteriously in the mix.
