ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kilo House is a rising artist who burst onto the streaming scene in 2016. Having always had a natural affinity for music, Kilo House started off by learning the drums; eventually going on to play in a metal band. After travelling from Oklahoma to LA in the search for record labels, Kilo House became affiliated with the studio ICON Collective and began to hone his craft. Although he has a number of different inspirational sources, Kilo House amalgamates a wide range of compositional elements to create his signature sound.

To date, Kilo House has ten singles/EPs in his online discography. Some of his most popular tracks include the likes of ‘The Children’, amassing almost one hundred and nineteen thousand streams, ‘R.U.N.’, gathering over ninety-seven thousand streams, and ‘Imperial Trap’, with over ninety-two thousand five hundred streams. With more than thirty-two thousand four hundred regular monthly listeners on Spotify alone, there is no denying the fact that Kilo House has developed a dedicated following of loyal fans.
“I do the music I do to show people that life, it’s okay. Life is fun. Growing up in a wheelchair, I didn’t really have someone to look up to. We need someone in a f****ing wheelchair. People are like “this is my limitation”, well f***k, I can’t walk up a flight of stairs. Stop being upset about what you’ve been given and do something. That’s the main part of what I do – why I do what I do – showing people if you want to do something stop having a f****ing pity party and realize you’re just as capable as anybody else.”

Although Kilo House has undeniably formed his own sound, each track in ‘Netflix and Kill’ captures a diverse variety of stylistic elements that showcase Kilo House’s compositional creativity; from the ominous strings that provide the perfect platform for the eclectic beat and hypnotic hook of ‘Terror Train’, the intense synth progression that combines with the rhythmic beat and foundational bass to form a trance like experience in ‘I.L.Y’, to the impressive combination of stripped back percussion, a click and smooth piano line that contrasts perfectly with the powerful drop which features a dominant sub-bass, epic vocal sample and memorable synth melody in ‘Oh Bones’.
