ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kilo House is an up and coming artist from a deathcore background who has already been established within the industry due to his respected alumni from the Icon Collective. Although his music has been grouped under one genre classification, Kilo House’s unique style focuses on bass music with, “drop oriented tracks slamming your subwoofers…[putting] the fun back into your life”.
His influences range from the likes of Blink 182 to $uicideBoy$; drawing from the underlying theme of “fuck it and just have fun” that permeates throughout their music. Writing, recording and performing whilst wheelchair bound, Kilo House maintains his positive approach to life so that he can inspire others to take life less seriously and enjoy the ride:
“People take life way too seriously...I write the Trap music that I do to hopefully show my fans the fun nature that life truly has. Turn up, and then Stay up!”
Kilo House has five single/EPs in his online discography dating back to 2016: ‘Kilo all the Bells’ (2016), ‘R.U.N.’ (2020), ‘The Night He Came Home’ (2020), ‘Dance With The Devil’ (2020), and our featured single: ‘Imperial Trap’. The track commences with a twenty-seven second introduction that combines carefully layered instrumental elements that perform the main hook whilst leaving enough auditory space to gradually build the tension; setting the tone for the instigation of the beat.
A swell from around the 0:22 mark, coupled with a Vader vocal sample, amalgamate to form a crescendo that peaks at 0:28. The beat kicks in alongside a foundational sub-bass and prominent synth layers that sit cleanly on-top of the mix.
