ABOUT THE ARTIST
Katrice Cornett is an up and coming artist who burst onto the streaming scene in 2013. The Baltimore born songwriter has always had a natural affinity for music; with her first professional performance of ‘Oh Happy Day’ coming at the young age of four. Katrice Cornett later formed her gospel group Katrice Cornett & Highest Praise in 1999, becoming “South Jersey's premier musical talent”.
After a hiatus from the music industry, Katrice felt inspired to get back into songwriting after her son, Jermaine Jones, became a top 10 finalist on Season 11 of American Idol. Although she receives creative inspiration from a number of styles, Katrice Cornett combines a variety of compositional elements to form her authentic sound.
To date, Katrice Cornett has one album and three singles/EPs in her online discography. Some of her most popular tracks include the likes of ‘Blessed Is the Name of Jesus’, ‘Ordained’, ‘Perfect Forgiveness’, and ‘Abba Father’. With a growing number of followers and listeners, there is no denying the fact that Katrice Cornett is developing a dedicated following of loyal fans.
