Our featured single, ‘Merry Crocmas’ by Jols Bask, is to be released on the 31st of October this year and will be available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The single lasts five minutes and forty three seconds and sits at a steady 140bpm.

What is the song about?

“The answer to the perpetual missing socks mystery, where do all those socks go? Primarily the focus was to teach and frighten kids to be good or face immortal scary crocodiles that are invisible to all except dogs, no wonder they’re always barking at nothing. Clepto crocs who go around all year stealing socks, sewing them together to keep warm at Christmas when they appear to bad people to make them good, along with origins of Santa and Christmas winter time, it’s all in the lyrics.”

The track commences with a fifteen second solo-instrumental introduction that features a harmonica; setting the tone for the single. A spoken word section commences at 0:15 providing context for the story of the track to unfold. Around thirty seconds in the full plethora of instrumental/vocal layers instigate. The wide range of vocal color forms a singular sound that is unique and eclectic; seamlessly synchronising with the energetic instrumental accompaniment. The powerful rap section, kicking in around the 3:13 mark, provides just the right amount of dynamic diversity to keep the single engaging from start to finish.
