ABOUT THE ARTIST
itsENJ is a Bronx-based Afropop/Afro-soul musical group who burst onto the streaming scene in 2017. itsENJ is comprised of brothers, Chimdi and OTITO; referred to as “The DAPPER DUO”. Although they receive creative inspiration from a number of styles, itsENJ combines a variety of compositional elements to form their unique sound.
To date, itsENJ have one album and six singles/EPs in their online discography. The official music video for the single tells the story of itsENJ’s reflections of being “stuck in Nigeria”. Having had multiple near death experiences over the last five months amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the duo were forced to stay in the country and have based the music video on their experience.

The track commences with a twenty second instrumental introduction that gradually builds to set the tone for the main vocal line. The vocal color is clean and stylistic; seamlessly synchronising with the rhythmic instrumentation. The smooth piano progression, when combined with the steady beat, ambient brass and foundational bass line, provides the perfect platform for the vocal.
