ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hollywood Video Game Kill-Bot is a band that consists of one multi-talented artist: Zachary Chacon. The California based artist plays all of the instrumentation on his records and utilises samples and a midi keyboard to create his original and authentic sound that doesn’t adhere to typical genre expectations.
To date, Hollywood Video Game Kill-Bot has seventeen singles/EPs and ten albums in its online discography. Some of KVGKB’s most popular tracks include the likes of ‘Green’, ‘House’, ‘This Is Death’, and ‘Happy Birthday’. With four singles/EPs and one album dropping since the beginning of 2020, there is no denying the fact that Hollywood Video Game Kill-Bot is building some serious momentum as we move into the final few months of this year.

Although the EP is technically categorised under one genre classification, each track delivers a unique compositional style that showcases Hollywood Video Game Kill-Bot’s creative ability; from the ominous melodic flow of the phased synth layering in ‘Moonlight’, the stylistic combination of the piano line with panned synth, a subtle guitar and steady beat of ‘Gentle’, the rhythmic flow and positive foundational melody that intentionally creates dissonance with the synth at specific intervals in ‘Uplifting’, to the dark tone, fast paced rhythmic intensity, and plethora of instrumental layers that contribute to the unpredictability of the arrangement in ‘Title’.
