ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hereami, otherwise known as Shaun Hereami Dunbar, has had the “soul of an entertainer” since he was a young child. Although his interest in the music industry was previlent early on, Hereami waited until after his junior year of college to pursue a career as an artist. Working with fellow artists and producers Braden Palmer and Michael Vanasek, Hereami began to hone his craft as a professional.
Having previously been featured on three published studio albums, ‘The Parade’, ‘War On Itself’ and ‘Stoic’, Hereami has now ventured off on his own solo career with the release of his latest single ‘Flow State’, in addition to two EPs set for release later in 2020.

Our featured single, ‘Flow State (feat. Vazen)’ by Hereami, is out now and available to stream on all major streaming platforms! ‘Flow State’ was written by Shawn 'HereamI' Dunbar, and features Michael 'Vazen' Vanasek, Hereami's long time collaborator who also produced the music to this powerful track. Hereami, along with Jason Ho of Dream Nineteen Productions, directed the making of the music video which was shot in Los Angeles as a way of peacefully protesting the racial injustice in society, and releasing anxiety that has risen from recent and past events.
The single lasts four minutes and twenty five seconds and sits at a smooth 85bpm. The track commences with a twenty second introduction that combines a spoken word contribution with ambient vocoder vocalisations that set the tone for the rap. At the 0:21 mark, the beat kicks in with a subtle instrumental accompaniment. The rap resonates with the listener due to the authentic tone of Hereami’s vocal color; matching the smooth flow of the single seamlessly. The memorably melodic chorus comes in at 1:30 and creates the perfect stylistic shift by adding diversity to the composition.
The combination of spacey instrumentation, a powerful rap, steady percussion/bass, and a catchy hook, amalgamate to form a track that will definitely please fans of Hereami, as well as those who appreciate new and creative Hip-Hop/Rap.
