ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hemisphere is a five piece band consisting of Don Bowman on Vocals and Sax, Mike McQuilken on Drums, Nathan Brown on Bass, Max Zape on Keys, and Rob Shinno on Guitar and Vocorder. The band also features a number of special guests who contributed to their latest album: Tommy Aros, Rebecca Jade, Leonard Patton, Derek Cannon and Patrick Yandall. Hemisphere’s amalgamation of various elements from Rock, Pop, Jazz, Fusion and Metal, create their unique and authentic sound. With the intention of promoting “Unity, Diversity and Equality”, Hemisphere’s aim is to take their fans on both a “musical and visual journey”.
To date, Hemisphere have released three full albums on their online discography: ‘Blue Planet Dreams’ (1997), ‘Destinations’ (1999), and our featured album ‘American Dreams’ (2020). With a virtual live show showcasing their latest album set for November 2020, fans of Hemisphere will be eagerly awaiting to see what the band deliver visually after their successful record release.

Our featured single, ‘Transmission’ by Hemisphere, is out now and available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The single lasts four minutes and eight seconds and sits at a steady 148bpm. The track commences with a twelve second introduction that combines a plethora of instrumental layers; setting the melodic tone for the proceeding verse.
The vocal color is clean and emotive; seamlessly synchronising with the instrumental accompaniment. The addition of creatively panned vocal harmony layers adds just the right amount of depth to the vocal sound without detracting from its prominence. An instrumental break that features an eclectic and soulful electric guitar solo kicks in at the 2:34 mark and provides the single with just the right amount of dynamic diversification to ensure that the track is engaging from start to finish.
