ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hemisphere are a five piece band that consists of Don Bowman on Vocals and Sax, Mike McQuilken on Drums, Nathan Brown on Bass, Max Zape on Keys, and Rob Shinno on Guitar and Vocorder. In addition to their core members, Hemisphere also feature a number of special guests on their most recent album; Tommy Aros, Rebecca Jade, Leonard Patton, Derek Cannon and Patrick Yandall.

Refusing to be defined by a singular style, Hemisphere combine various elements from Rock, Pop, Jazz, Fusion and Metal to form their signature sound. With the goal of promoting: “Unity, Diversity and Equality”, Hemisphere take their fans on a “musical and visual journey” with every new release.

To date, Hemisphere have released three full albums on their online discography: ‘Blue Planet Dreams’ (1997), ‘Destinations’ (1999), and our featured album ‘American Dreams’ (2020). With a virtual live show showcasing their latest album set for November 2020, fans of Hemisphere will be eagerly awaiting to see what the band deliver visually after their successful record release.

Our featured album, ‘American Dreams’ by Hemisphere, is out now and available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The album consists of eleven tracks and lasts around forty-two minutes.

Although the album is technically grouped under the genre classification of Pop, each track delivers a unique style that captures Hemisphere’s creative talent; from the incredible wind instrumentation and seamlessly synchronised vocal layers of ‘America’, the catchy hook, foundational bass and rhythmic flow of ‘Where Do We Go Now’, the powerful electric guitar, emotive vocal color and driven tempo of ‘These Are the Days’, to the stylistically effected vocal line, ambient piano and eclectic percussion of ‘Sky Full of Stars’.
