ABOUT THE ARTIST
Güz Erdem is an up and coming artist who burst onto the streaming scene in 2020. The rising songwriter has a diverse musical background; Güz Erdem plays a plethora of instruments and has a background in jazz. Receiving inspiration from a variety of different genres, Güz Erdem alamgametes a number of compositional elements to form his signature sound. Believing that “originality has great importance”, Güz records all of his instrumentation acoustically with the exception of synth layers.
To date, Güz Erdem has twelve singles/EPs in his online discography. Some of his most popular tracks include the likes of ‘You Are Your Own Light, Pt. 2’, amassing sixty-one thousand streams, ‘You Are Your Own Light’, gathering over seven thousand streams, and ‘You Are Your Own Light, Pt. 4’, with over three thousand nine hundred streams.

Our featured release, ‘The Sounds of Excellence’ by Güz Erdem, is out now and available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The release lasts around eight minutes and consists of two tracks, ‘Transcendence’ and ‘Ascendance’.
The first track, ‘Transcendence’, lasts around three minutes and sits at 90bpm. The single commences with a thirty-two second introduction that features a foundational beat that is met with a panned keys layer and a smooth guitar progression. Multiple vocal lines, that sit at different octaves, amalgamate to form a singular sound that adds a creative flare to the production. Güz Erdem’s instrumental talent is showcased during the guitar solo from 1:47 to 2:10; blending perfectly with the tone of the instrumentation. By the time this track draws to a close you’ll find yourself humming the catchy chorus and in need of hitting that repeat button for another listen.
The second track, ‘Ascendance’, lasts around five minutes and is a continuation of the first song.
