ABOUT THE ARTIST
Greg, also known as Cole Schillinger, is a singer/songwriter who has been making music since he was thirteen years old. The now twenty-year old artist is a multi-instrumentalist who records all of his original music in his basement. Greg is inspired mostly by scenery rather than music genres; places such as, “the beach, open fields [and] high school” fuel his creative compositional talent. Artists that have inspired Greg’s journey as a songwriter include the likes of The Beach Boys, Vampire Weekend, and The Smiths, in addition to being a fan of R&B/Soul from the 2000s.
Although Greg has a variety of inspirational sources, he forms his own unique sound that expresses his personal creative abilities without drawing too heavily upon music produced by other artists. Greg’s first solo release, ‘Talk of the Town’, was released on the twenty-fifth of June this year and has already amassed almost four and a half thousand streams on Spotify alone. It’s fair to say that Greg is thoroughly establishing himself as an artist to keep an eye on over the second half of this year.
