ABOUT THE ARTIST
G.R. Choppo first burst onto the music scene at the beginning of 2020 with his debut single. Although he began producing music back in 2018, G.R. Choppo didn’t fully commit to honing his production skills until he was on deployment in 2019. Progressing from compositional arrangements that he felt “had no flow and no rhythm”, to an album that G.R. Choppo considers to be his “best work so far”, his hard work and consistent effort has made him the artist he is today.
To date, G.R. Choppo has nine Single/EP releases in his online discography. Some of his most successful tracks include ‘One Hellava Year’, amassing almost eleven thousand streams, ‘Drop’ with ten thousand seven hundred streams, and ‘Scarface’, gathering ten thousand two hundred streams on Spotify alone. With over five thousand regular monthly listeners, it’s fair to say that G.R. Choppo has developed a dedicated following of loyal fans since his debut release at the beginning of this year.

The opening single ‘Brazy’, lasts two minutes and forty-nine seconds and sits at a smooth 120bpm. The track commences with a sweeping pan sound sample of a plane taking off; symbolically representing the album taking off as the foundational sub-bass, steady beat and ambient synth line kick in at the 0:14 mark. With the addition of a stylistic guitar section amalgamating with the hypnotic flow of the instrumental layering, this track will send the listener into a trance like state as they enjoy G.R. Choppo’s authentic production style.
Although the album is categorised as Hip-Hop/Rap, each track provides its own unique compositional arrangement that showcases G.R. Choppo’s diverse talent; from the layered vocalisations and memorable piano hook in ‘Convo’, the dominant synth, atmospheric production and effected vocals in ‘Damaged’, to the ominous bass/beat melodic flow of ‘Recipe for Destruction’, fans of G.R.
