ABOUT THE ARTIST
Forrest Hill is a singer/songwriter who first began writing music while he was hitchhiking across the country through a post-Vietnam America. Having been “inspired to composed by the struggle and beauty he saw around him as he traveled the back roads of the American landscape”, Forrest channelled his most influential artists; Dylan, Hendrix and Motown. Resultantly, his personal style incorporated various elements from multiple styles which Forrest refers to as being the “evolving human spirit’.
Forest Hill has an impressive discography, dating back to 2018’s ‘Let’s Fall Down’, to the 2020 single ‘Crazy Days’. It is clear to see that Forrest’s Spotify success is continuing to increase with tracks like ‘New Horizon’ amassing almost fifty-thousand streams, ‘Guardian Angel’ gathering over twenty-one thousand streams, and the incredibly successful single ‘Crazy Days’ achieving over fifty-two thousand streams to date.

“...the search for meaning in an increasingly mechanised and impersonal world, while seeing the beauty and possibility for liberation in all beings.”
The style of the album: ‘River of Stars’, was inspired by the likes of “Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, The Talking Heads, The Beatles, Paul Simon, Jason Mraz, John Mayer an Munford & Sons”, to name a few.
‘Crazy Days’ sits at a steady 180bpm and commences with a ten second instrumental introduction. Incorporating a combination of steady percussion, ambient synths, rhythmic guitar and various other instrumental effects throughout, Forrest creates his own unique sound. With his use of a clean vocal color, the vocal line stands out in the mix; the layered vocal creates enough depth to maintain its prominence amidst the full instrumentation.
