ABOUT THE ARTIST
Donte Raymone is an up and coming artist who burst onto the streaming scene in 2018. The twenty-seven year old artist was raised in Pontiac, Michigan and has been honing his craft over the years having performed at over one hundred shows. Although Donte Raymone receives creative inspiration from a number of artists, he combines a variety of compositional elements to form his unique and authentic sound. In addition to his work as an artist, Donte Raymone also owns his own label: Nova Nati.
To date, Donte Raymone has two EPs and four singles in his online discography. Some of his most popular tracks include the likes of ‘Chef Te Mone’, ‘Profit’, ‘One More’, and ‘R.O.Y’. With a growing number of followers on Spotify and on social media, it is clear that Donte Raymone is developing a dedicated following of loyal fans.

Our featured EP, ‘Rookie of the Year’ by Donte Raymone, is out now and available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The EP consists of five tracks and lasts around fourteen minutes. The next official video will drop on the 14th of February.
Although the EP is technically grouped under one genre classification, each track provides a variety of compositional elements that showcase Donte Raymone’s diverse songwriting ability; from the intentional dissonance of the piano introduction, rhythmic percussive beat and stylistically effected vocal of ‘All Night’, the creatively layered backing vocals that add a depth to the overall sound without detracting from the seamlessly synchronised rap of ‘They Know’, the ominous melodic progression that provides the perfect platform for Donte Raymone’s impressive lyricism in ‘Chef Te Mone’, to the clean vocal color, creative implementation of an ambient vocal sample and catchy hook of ‘R.O.Y’.
