ABOUT THE ARTIST

Don Kaneen is a Southern California based artist who burst onto the streaming scene this year. Having always had a natural affinity for music, the Army Veteran began writing songs in January of 2020 and has honed his craft ever since. Although he receives creative inspiration from a number of artists such as Nas, King Von, Kendrick Lamar and J Cole, Don Kaneen combines a variety of compositional elements to form his unique sound.

To date, Don Kaneen has one EP and four singles in his online discography. Some of his most popular tracks include the likes of ‘Intro’, amassing almost sixteen thousand streams, ‘Don’t’, gathering over three thousand five hundred streams, and ‘Around Me’, with over three thousand three hundred streams. With more than ten thousand regular monthly listeners on Spotify alone, there is no denying the fact that Don Kaneen has developed a dedicated following of loyal fans.

The opening track and most popular single since the EP’s release, ‘Intro’, lasts around two minutes and sits at 133bpm. The single commences with a thirteen second introduction that sets the tone for the main vocal line. The vocal color is clean and stylistic; seamlessly synchronizing with the smooth vibe of the instrumental accompaniment.
