Our featured EP, ‘Demoniacal Dispel’ by Disinterment, is out now and available to stream on Deezer! The EP lasts around eleven minutes and consists of five tracks: ‘Depredated Daemons’, ‘Dispossessed’, ‘Demoniacal Dispel’, ‘Dysphoric Existence’ and ‘Domain of the Damned’.
‘Depredated Daemons’ lasts two minutes and forty-two seconds and features the band’s signature compilation of metal-styled vocal color, a shifting tempo, thrashing electric guitar riffs and a foundational bass. ‘Dispossessed’ has a steadily driven melodic flow that utilises percussive breaks; allowing the electric guitar riff to take the prominent position in the mix whilst also providing enough space for each melodic transition.
The title track, ‘Demoniacal Dispel’, features an incredible electric guitar sound that sits perfectly in the mix; the powerful plethora of instrumental layers amalgamate to form a unified sound that drives the rhythmic intensity with the dark and emotive vocal line. ‘Dysphoric Existence’ contrasts periods of steady melodic riffs and eclectic percussion with highly intense accelerando-styled sections; providing just the right amount of dynamic diversity to keep the track engaging for its entirety.
The final track on the EP, ‘Domain of the Damned’, combines energetic percussion that utilises a dominant double-kick to add a sense of increased intensity. The guitar and bass lines seamlessly synchronise to form an ominous yet melodic sound that is an authentic representation of Disinterment’s unique and creative style. Fans of Disinterment, as well as those who appreciate original death-metal, will definitely want to hear this EP. ‘Defiled Covenant’ is out now!
