ABOUT THE ARTIST
Dencade, also known as Dennis Linsi, is a self-taught DJ/Producer. Inspired by listening to other DJs, Dencade got his own desk and began producing tracks. With no prior training or experience in producing or DJing, he utilised whatever information he could get his hands on, as well as using online tutorials to train himself over time.

After much trial and error, Dencade released his debut single in May of 2020, ‘See You Around’. Although the enforced lockdown situation brought about by the Coronavirus crisis has been less than helpful for up and coming DJs, Dencade has used this time to hone his skills, ensuring that the upcoming months will see his success and momentum continue to increase after his debut release.

The upcoming single, ‘Had It All’ by Dencade, is set to be released on the seventeenth of July and will be available to stream on all major platforms! Sitting at a smooth 115bpm, the single commences with a sixteen second instrumental introduction. The amalgamation of a clean and delayed electric guitar sound, an ambient piano and a subtle synth creates a pop sound that is perfectly matched by the soft vocal color.
A percussive kick, coupled with a finger-snap, creates a crescendo-like build as the vocal line kicks in, leading the track to the pre-chorus section when the rate of the kick drum intensifies at the 0:33 mark. The chorus uses a more complex beat that adds a very subtle additional vocal layer at a lower register, resultantly adding a depth to the overall sound. A point of creative flare can be found between 1:57 and 2:13 during a breakdown section when a simplistic, yet incredibly memorable, synth progression supports the vocal.
The combination of clean pop vocals, instrumentation that compliments the flow of the track without dominating the mix, and a well balanced production, makes this track and excellent follow up to Dencade’s debut and will no doubt please his fans, as well as those who appreciate new and creative pop.
