ABOUT THE ARTIST
David Robyn is a Guyanese-Canadian singer-songwriter/actor who is originally from Markham, Ontario. Having always had a natural interest in music, David always had an open mind when it came to his music interests; “burning CDs and listening to pop” artists such as Britney Spears, NSYNC, Nelly Furtado, Natalie Imbruglia and Norah Jones, whilst also having an appreciation for the likes of Biggie, Tupac, Jay-Z, and NWA. This diverse interest in music led David to form his own completely unique sound that draws from his life experience.
“I believe that “music heals and nurtures the soul” - I struggled with my identity as an artist because my music is always changing, hence why it took me so long to release more music following 2018’s “Messed Up”.”
To date, David Robyn has one single release in his online discography which dropped in 2018: ‘Messed Up’. The single has impressively amassed over ten thousand streams since its release. Although David has spent the past two years writing and preparing his new music, he has still managed to hold a dedicated following of fans with over four thousand eight hundred regular monthly listeners on Spotify alone.
