ABOUT THE ARTIST

Dan Hamann is an well established comedic singer, songwriter and performer. The Seattle based entertainer has always had a natural affinity for music; learning classical piano at a young age. Dan began writing original comedic songs when he was at college before spending the following decade directing comedic theatre in Seattle.

After his time at the theatre ended, Dan Hamann felt the desire to return to his previous creative outlet and begin songwriting once more. This inevitably led to a plethora of live performances over the last twenty-five years. Although he receives creative inspiration from a number of styles, Dan Hamann combines a variety of compositional elements to form his unique sound. With a growing number of followers, there is no denying the fact that Dan Hamann is developing a dedicated following of loyal fans.

Dan Hamann’s upcoming album is set to drop on the fifth of February and will definitely please his fan base. With the pandemic rearranging the typical recording process, Dan transformed his live tracks into studio versions which feature sixty-four instruments from twenty-six musicians from twenty-three cities and twelve countries. The collective effort that went into creating this “comedic and musical odyssey” alone is enough to make you want to listen to the album in its entirety.

The opening track on the album, ‘This Shit Don’t Feel Right’, lasts three minutes and twenty-eight seconds and sits in at around 120bpm. The track commences with a twenty-six second introduction that transitions from a solo piano line to full band instrumentation; setting the tone for the proceeding verse.
