ABOUT Big Fuss Records
Big Fuss Records (LLC) is a music label that “discovers and distributes high quality recorded music” in the United States and across the globe. The main goal behind the label is to create a big fuss around their artists by supporting and promoting their new releases whilst helping them to establish themselves in the music industry. Our featured album, ‘Corona Diaries’, is out now and available to stream on BigFussRecords.com! The album consists of ten diverse tracks and is available for just $9.99. The purpose behind the album is to “stimulate [the] mood” of the listener during the difficult times many are facing as a result of the global pandemic.
The first track on the album, ‘Getaway’ by Miss Kristin, is a rock single that captures the personal angst that the artist has dealt with throughout her home confinement, implemented by the government issued lockdown, in addition to the “lies that appear to surround due to political and social unrest”.
‘Love No Mask Can Hide’, written and performed by Deron Wendt, is a track that is essentially a tribute to front-line workers who have dealt with the challenges presented by the Corona Virus Pandemic. The “soothing instrumental and grasping vocal” will captivate the listener as Deron delivers his well crafted lyricism.
‘It Aint Easy’ by Mama Cleo, one of Los Angeles’ “most promising musical exports”, is a Pop/R&B infused track that contrasts ominous instrumentation with an uplifting vocal; capturing Mama Cleo’s authentic and unique emotive vocal color.
‘Ordinary People’ by singer/songwriter Yerachmiel provides an insight into the artist’s creative and poetic writing style as he combines various elements from multiple genres and compositional styles.
‘When We All Get Together’ was written by the emerging artist and composer I Am Thine and blends a plethora of genres that include, R&B, Gospel, Soul and Hip-Hop, to form I Am Thine’s signature sound.
‘Before We All Go Under’, by the father/daughter duo HOPDot, was composed by David Hopper and performed by his daughter Amy. The piano based instrumentation and emotive vocal color provide a listening experience that will “transport you into another time”.
‘Only A Moment’, by the Cork native Dave Carey, reveals the artist’s compositional talent by “[expressing] the temporal nature of all things” within his songwriting. Dave’s sound has been compared to the likes of Paul McCartney, Gilbert o Sullivan, Clifford T Ward, The Kinks, and Billy Joel.
‘Nobody Knows You’ was written by the Alt-Rock band Farehaven, whose sound has been compared to the likes of Nirvana, the White Stripes, and Daughtry. The band formed back in 2010 and have developed a reputation for their energetic style and pristine music production.
‘Socially Distant’ by Tony Frissore blends multiple genres that include the likes of Funk, Soul and Deep House to produce “EDM, Chill and Hip-Hop beats”. Tony’s unique sound has come after years of honing his talent whilst performing in the music scenes of Boston and New Orleans. His experience has allowed him to produce a sound that expresses his original and creative compositional ability.
‘World So Strange’ by singer/songwriter Justin Shapiro, “takes the listener on a journey to the center of his longing heart”. Justin’s blend of nineties Grunge, Acoustic Rock, Folk, Blues, Funk, and Jam-Band music amalgamate to form his eclectic sound; receiving inspiration from each of the genres whilst ensuring that his songwriting comes from a place of authentic originality.
