ABOUT THE ARTIST
Cienfue, also known as Camilo Navarro Q, has made a name for himself on the music scene after amalgamating elements of Latin Roots with Modern Electronic music to form a unique and original sound known as Psicodelia Tropical. Having grown up under the military rule of Panama during the 1980s, Cienfue received his musical and creative inspiration from MTV. Utilising his Macintosh computer, Cienfue began experimenting with cassette tapes and taught himself the electric guitar.
Cienfue has now been featured on the likes of MTV, the BBC, Rolling Stone Magazine and played a number of popular festivals; performing alongside the likes of Omar Rodriguez Lopez, Juanes, Café Tacvba, Aterciopelados, Cultura Profética, Meat Puppets, Babasónicos, Zoé, Incubus, Señor Loop, Vetusta Morla.
To date, Cienfue has six albums and twenty-three single/EP releases in his online discography. Some of his most successful tracks include the likes of ‘Life in the Tropics’, amassing almost seven hundred and seventy-three thousand streams, and ‘Mi Columbiana’, gathering over eight hundred and seventy-seven thousand streams on Spotify alone. With sixty-two thousand regular monthly listeners, there is no denying the fact that Cienfue has developed a dedicated following of loyal fans.
