ABOUT THE ARTIST
che bark is a singer/songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. The Chicago based artist began his musical journey by learning classical piano. After adding guitar to his instrumental arsenal through self-teaching, che bark received inspiration from the music of the sixties and seventies, as well as from Alt-Rock and Hip-Hop/Rap from the nineties.
Having always thrived taking on new musical challenges, che bark has participated in three major projects before his most recent alias took form; writing and producing an entire album for Callow Instance, fronting the genre blending trio band Fever Chills in 2015, and writing and producing an Indie-Rock/Pop five track EP for Faded Timber in 2017.
Although his latest album, ‘august’, was just recently released on the thirty-first of July, each track has already received thousands of streams on Spotify alone. With such a positive reception, it’s fair to say that che bark is steadily developing a dedicated fan base.

Although the album is categorised as Dance, each track features a variety of creative elements and stylistic variations that showcase che bark’s compositional talent; from the smooth and uplifting synth layers that provide the perfect platform for the ambient vocals in ‘Gone Summer’, the rhythmic bass, steady percussive flow and harmonised vocals in ‘Crazy’, to the creatively panned instrumental layers and funky electric guitar chord progressions in ‘What is Real’.
