ABOUT THE ARTIST
Beek is an electronic music artist from San Diego who specialises in the creation of Chiptunes; synthesised electronic music that is created using PSG (Programable Sound Generator) sound chips or from synthesisers from vintage arcade machines, video game consoles and computers. Utilising an eight-bit retro video game style, Beek creates his own unique take on the electronic sub-genre.
To date, Beek has released four albums on Spotify since 2012: ‘7-bit Date: Robot Love’, ‘Sokoban Online (Original Soundtrack) [Deluxe Edition]’, ‘Spacewaves’ and ‘Gingerbread’. Beek has pledged to donate one-hundred percent of his BandCamp revenue, generated by the new album ‘The Lost Backups’, to the bailout fund for protesters.

The upcoming album, ‘The Lost Backups’ by Beek, is available to on BandCamp now! This fifteen track electronic album is comprised from a collection of various Chiptunes that Beek has put together. Some one-off video game soundtrack projects are included amidst the plethora of material, dating as far back as twenty-years ago to combo tracks from last year.
Although this album can be categorised into the niche electronic sub-genre known as chip music, the diversity within the fifteen tracks is undeniable. From the fast paced melodic lines combined with the chime-like sounds of ‘Pleiadeans’, to the forth-wall breaking interlude featuring Beek’s voice in ‘Interruptro’, to the uniquely nostalgic sounds of ‘Chonky Walla Walla Shuffle’, fans of Beek, as well as those who appreciate new and creative electronic music, will definitely want to hear this album.
