ABOUT THE ARTIST
Against The Voices are a two piece indie-alternative band comprised of Gabriel K. Hart (guitars/bass/vocals) and Nick Zimmerman (drums/keys/guitar/vocals). The band united in Nashville during November of 2019 and composed three singles with their former collaborator Eric Arjes, acting as the executive producer, and Jeff Braun, who mixed and mastered the tracks.
To date, the band have two singles that are currently available on their online discography: ‘Don’t Talk About It’, and ‘All My Friends Are Dead or Beets’. With their debut single amassing over fifteen thousand streams, and their follow-up single gathering over seven and a half thousand streams on Spotify alone, it’s fair to say that the band have thoroughly established a dedicated following of loyal fans.

Our featured single, ‘Memories I Don't Want’ by Against The Voices, is to be released on the fourteenth of August and will be available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The track lasts three minutes and forty-eight seconds and sits at a steady 160bpm. The single commences with a sixteen second introduction that utilises a sweeping/panned solo instrumental riff with subtle piano; setting the melodic tone for the proceeding verse.
The verse kicks in at the 0:17 mark and features a soft and emotive vocal color that seamlessly flows with the instrumental accompaniment. The systematic implementation of instrumental imitation follows, and resultantly reinforces the vocal melody; adding a creative flare to the overall sound (check out 0:30 to 0:42).
